Avalanche Science
Portfolio

Consultant by day. Avalanche Science by night and weekend.

I live for the winter. Skiing is my zen and avalanche science is my way to give back to the community I love.
I began my journey into the backcountry in 2018 and quickly discovered a passion for understanding the science behind avalanches and the forecasting process. That passion led me to an AIARE recreational course and Avalanche Rescue course during which I learned about the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Avalanche Science Program (ASP). Two years on and I’ve learned from the best in the field of Avalanche Science in the United States and honed my craft in the field.

Focused on Personal Development.

(My Goals)

As I continue my journey I am driven by the desire to build my skills and understanding about the world I recreate in. While my primary objective is personal, my secondary objective is to give back to my community. Prior to the CMC ASP my main contributions we advocating for others to get education about navigating the winter backcountry. Following the program, I can contribute so much more - from direct knowledge, to my experiences, to others in the field. As I look forward, I’d like to build on that with additional operational experience that will allow me to gain the hours I require to submit for a Pro 2 assessment.
